Franklin Price

Franklin Thomas Price age 95 years of Paulsboro died Friday, January 30, 2009 in the Friends Home, Woodstown. Mr. Price was born in Oaks, PA and lived in Paulsboro since 1942. He retired from Mobil Oil Refinery, Paulsboro and was also the former Tax Assessor for the Boro of Paulsboro. Mr. Price also served Paulsboro as a special police officer. He was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Clarksboro. Mr. Price was a past member of the Kiwanis Club in Paulsboro; and he was a Past Chaplain of the Paulsboro – Swedesboro Masonic Lodge #157 F. & A.M.; a member of the Scottish Rite Consistory, Southern New Jersey Valley; Cyrene Commandery #007 Knights Templar; Joshua Chapter #51 and Zerubbabel Chapter #63, Royal Arch Masons; Crescent Temple Shrine AAONMS of Burlington; Van Hook Council #8, Royal and Select Masters; Order of the Amaranth, Arbor Vitae Court #40 and Freeman Landing Court #54; White Shrine of Jerusalem, Temple Shrine #22; Order of the Eastern Star Swedesboro Chapter #115; Knight Masons, Southern NJ Council #11; Ancient Egyptian Order of Sciots; and the Senior DeMolay where he was initiated Feb. 20, 1931. Mr. Price also held three additional honorary memberships in the Order of the Amaranth. He is survived by his son, Timothy D. and Julia Price of West Melbourne, Florida; his grandchildren, Theresa Croce – Dempsey and her husband Peter of Paulsboro; Cynthia Minix of Zephyrhills, FL and Lisa Priest of Paulsboro and his great grandchildren, Kerilyn Croce, Timothy Minix, Joseph Minix, Amanda Minix, Elizabeth Priest and Steven Priest. Mr. Price was predeceased by his wife, Theresa J. Price. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday February 5, 2009 in the McBride - Foley Funeral Home, 228 W. Broad St., Paulsboro. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 PM and after 9:30 AM Thursday until service time. The Paulsboro – Swedesboro Masonic Lodge will conduct Masonic services at 7:30 PM Wednesday.
