Jean Sizemore

Jean M. “Honey” Sizemore (nee Weidner) age 81 years of Gibbstown passed away on Tuesday June 12, 2007 in Underwood Memorial Hospital, Woodbury. She was a 1943 graduate of Paulsboro High School. During school and after graduation Jean served with the U.S.O. at Fort Dix where she met her beloved husband of 58 years, John, who survives her. She is also survived by her two sons, Dale and his wife Linda of Mickleton and Dean and his wife Diane of Gibbstown, her five precious granddaughters, Megan, Dawn, Dana, Courtney and Devon and her brother, Ralph Weidner and his wife Shirley of Gibbstown. Mrs. Sizemore was predeceased by her younger brother Arthur Weidner. Jean was a person who loved to do for others and gave of herself her entire life. She truly was a person who lived the Golden Rule. Jean retired from the Logan Township School System as Secretary to the Principal where no child sent to the office ever did anything wrong. Some of her many organizations she was involved with are Past President of Greenwich Twp. P.T.A., Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary of Gibbstown Fire Co., Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Swedesboro Chapter #115 and also a Grand Representative to West Virginia for Star, Member of the Blue Auxiliary of Paulsboro – Swedesboro Masonic Lodge #157 F.& A.M., Den Mother of Cub Scout Pack #217, Past President of the Auxiliary of Gibbstown Little League, Gibbstown Senior Citizens Club, Gibbstown Recreation Committee, Greenwich Twp. Committee Woman, Member, Sunday School Superintendent and Teacher at Clonmell United Methodist Church, Band Parent at Gibbstown Elementary School and Paulsboro High School, and she also served on the After Prom Committee at the School. Jean will also be remembered by the Paulsboro Wrestling Team and anyone who ever went to Jean and John’s home by the phrase “Honey, what can I get you to eat?” The Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday June 16, 2007 in the McBride - Foley Funeral Home, 228 West Broad Street, Paulsboro. Friends may call Friday evening from 6 to 9 PM and Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home. The Order of the Eastern Star will conduct services Friday evening at 7 PM. Interment Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro.
