Blanche Hartman

March 18, 1926 - October 11, 2013

Blanche C. Hartman (nee Taylor) age 87 years of Thorofare died Friday October 11, 2013 in Manor Care, West Deptford. Mrs. Hartman was born and raised in Bridgeport, lived for many years in Gibbstown and moved to Thorofare in 2005. She was a 1943 graduate of Paulsboro High School and after graduation she worked at DuPont Chambers Works, Deepwater. She and her late husband were the original owners of the Snack Shop at Bridgeport Airport and she then worked as a secretary for 25 years at Munyan Fuel Oil in Gibbstown until her retirement. Mrs. Hartman was active in the social club at Shepherd’s Farm and enjoyed Wii bowling and shuffleboard with her friends. She is survived by her children, Barry and Kathy Hartman of Lock Haven, PA, Cyndi and Bob Robostello of Mt. Royal; her grandchildren, Barry Jr. and Tawnya Hartman, Jeff Hartman, Brad (Kim) Hartman; her great grandchildren, Jake, Gavin, Emma, Tanner, Keaton; her daughter in law, Betty Jo and Bob Zeno of Clarksboro and her nieces, Charlene, Kim and Tammy. Mrs. Hartman was predeceased by her husband, Ira “Chummy” Hartman; her parents, Matthew and Carrie Taylor; her brothers, Frank Sr. and Jack Taylor and her nephew, Frank Taylor Jr. The Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday October 16, 2013 in the McBride - Foley Funeral Home, 228 West Broad St., Paulsboro. Relatives and friends may visit with the family after 9 AM Wednesday until service time. Interment Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro.
