Doris J. Williamson (nee McDonald) age 86 years of Paulsboro died Wednesday October 24, 2012 in her home. Mrs. Williamson was born and raised in Altoona, PA and moved to Paulsboro in 1959. While living in Altoona, Mrs. Williamson worked for Sylvania making bomb fuses. She later worked for The Record Newspaper in Paulsboro doing many different jobs to help get the paper published. Mrs. Williamson was a member of the Paulsboro Senior Citizens Club, the Fleet Reserve Association and Billingsport U.M. Church. She was well known around town for the delicious pies she made. In her free time she enjoyed sewing, embroidery and flower gardening. She is survived by her beloved husband of 69 years, Phillip Williamson of Paulsboro; her son, Phillip Terry and Ginny Williamson of Mullica Hill; her daughter in law, Addie Williamson of Pembroke, North Carolina; her grandchildren, Giana, Michelle, Christine and Phillip; 4 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; her sister, Marion Chamberlain of Brunswick, Maryland and her brother, Thomas and Vivian McDonald of Delaware. Mrs. Williamson was predeceased by her son, Robert Williamson Sr. and her grandson, Robert Williamson Jr. The Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM Saturday October 27, 2012 in the McBride – Foley Funeral Home, 228 W. Broad St., Paulsboro. Relatives and Friends may visit with the family after 12 PM Saturday until service time. Interment Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery, Monroe Twp.
