Mrs. Edna May Sholders
November 26, 1924 - April 29, 2017
Edna Sholders (nee Broomall) age 92 years of Mickleton died Saturday April 29, 2017 at her daughter’s home surrounded by her family. She was born and raised in National Park and was a 1942 graduate of Woodbury High School where she was a cheerleader. Mrs. Sholders was a long time member of Evangelical United Methodist Church in Clarksboro where she belonged to the Joy Circle and also a member of the Order of Sheperds of Bethlehem where she was Past Supreme Commander. She was proud to have worked at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard as a Secretary during the War and many people know her from the Mickleton Post Office. Mrs. Sholders enjoyed crocheting, playing the piano, ceramics and painting. She is survived by her children, Dorathy and Joe Garozzo of Woolwich Township, Richard E. and Barbara Sholders of Pedricktown; her grandchildren, Brendan, Justine, Cara, Richard A., Nicole and Danielle and 12 great grandchildren. The Funeral Service will be held at 8 PM Friday May 5, 2017 in the McBride – Foley Funeral Home, 228 West Broad St., Paulsboro. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Friday evening after 5 PM until service time. Inurnment Private. Contributions can be made in her memory to the Memorial Fund of Evangelical U.M.
