Mrs. Geraldine T. Plucinski

October 1, 1934 - February 14, 2022

Geraldine T. Plucinski (nee Gergen) age 87 years of Gibbstown passed away on Monday February 14, 2022 in her home. Gerri was born and raised in Hampton, Minnesota where she attended catholic grade school at St. Mathias and then she went to boarding school at Bethlehem Academy in Fairbault, Minnesota. She then attended college at St. Teresa in Winona, Minnesota majoring in Liberal Arts. Gerri then got a job as a personal secretary to executive personell at Investors Diversified in Minneapolis. She met Edmund, the love of her life in Minneapolis where he was debugging the new computer systems. They were married in Hampton, Minnesota in 1958. They then moved to Philadelphia for 5 years and then to Gibbstown, NJ where she worked as a supervisor at the Dutch Inn for twenty years. Gerri was a devoted catholic attending all church services. She was active in the Greenwich Township Senior Citizens Club; enjoying their trips to the casinos. She also enjoyed yard sales, shopping, reading and traveling. Gerri was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and she loved cooking for her family and doing whatever she could for them. She is survived by her children, Edmund W. Plucinski and Joan Plucinski, both of Gibbstown and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Gerri was predeceased by her beloved husband, Edmund Plucinski; her loving son, Mark Plucinski; 3 brothers, 2 sisters, 3 sisters in laws and 2 brothers in law. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Saturday February 19, 2022 in St. Clare of Assisi Parish, St. Michael’s Church, 313 Memorial Ave., Gibbstown. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Saturday morning after 10 AM until Mass time in church. Inurnment Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery, Monroe Twp. Arrangements by McBride – Foley Funeral Home, Paulsboro. Contributions can be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
