John R. Read age 76 years of Bath, New York died Monday January 24, 2022 in the VA Hospital, Buffalo, NY. John was born in Camden and raised in Bridgeport. He lived for several years in Swedesboro and Paulsboro before moving to Bath in 1996. John was a veteran serving in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He also was a volunteer firefighter & a part time cop. John enjoyed fishing and hunting in his free time. He is survived by his twin sons, Benjamin Read of Summerville, South Carolina, & William Read of Bath, NY; and his brother, Donald Read of Mantua. Additionally his extended family Johnny, Lisa ,Patti, Sherri, Linda. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday February 10, 2022 in the McBride – Foley Funeral Home, 228 W. Broad St., Paulsboro. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Thursday morning after 9:30 AM until service time. Inurnment Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro.
