Mrs. Joy Lippincott

June 11, 1927 - October 28, 2014

Euleta Joy Lippincott (nee Ford) age 87 years of Clarksboro went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday October 28, 2014 in her home. Joy was born to the late James Elmo and Meda Ford and raised in Callao, Missouri on a dairy farm and has lived in Clarksboro since 1953. Joy lived from coast to coast before Ervin, the love of her life, finally convinced her to marry him. On her last visit to NJ she told him it was now or never while standing on the steps of the train. Joy told him she wasn’t getting off unless they got married. In a week, they planned their wedding and tied the knot that lasted for thirty three wonderful years. Joy loved to talk about those happy times and had the sweetest little smile when she would be reminded of them, saying that she played hard to get! Joy worked for the family business for many years handling calls and sending the men out to the jobs; continuing to run the family business for ten more years after Ervin’s passing. Joy was a “Band Mom” with the Kingsway Marching Band during the 1970’s and 80’s, always having anything the members needed, even car rides for those that couldn’t get to the school. She was a past member of Zion U.M. Church where she lead the Cherub choir for over twenty years, and a member of Evangelical United Methodist Church where she belonged to the Joy Circle Ladies group. Joy treasured taking care of her grandchildren, spending hours of quality time playing board games and attending many of their sporting events. She liked to attend yard sales, and visiting her family on annual trips to Missouri before she became ill with Parkinson’s. In her later years, Joy enjoyed watching the game show network with Wheel of Fortune being her favorite show. She will be remembered by her family as a kind hearted and sweet Mother and Grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Sandy and Tom Carty of Voorhees and their children Tim, Matt, Becca & Stephen Carty, her daughter, Pam Wardach of Mickleton; her son in law Joseph A. Wardach of Villas; and their daughters, Elizabeth Starr, Emily and Abigail Wardach; her brother, Bernice Ford of Callao, Missouri; her sisters, Joann St. Clair of Brookfield, Missouri, Janet Moore of Quincy, Illinois and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lippincott was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ervin Lippincott; her son, Ralph Lippincott; her brother, Barry Ford and her sisters, June Jenkins and Judith Ford. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, November 1, 2014 in the McBride – Foley Funeral Home, 228 W. Broad St., Paulsboro. Relatives and friends may visit with the family after 9:30 AM Saturday until service time. Interment Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro. Contributions can be made in her memory to the Charity of your choice. Memories can be shared at www.mcbridefoleyfh.com.
