Mr. Martin "Donnie" Montgomery Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Martin “Donnie” Montgomery age 74 years of Deptford died Friday March 10, 2017 in Kennedy Hospital, Cherry Hill. Donnie was born in Philadelphia and raised in Paulsboro where he graduated from Paulsboro High School Class of 1961. He worked for two years for the Gloucester County Roads Department before retiring after 38 years on the Road Crew with the N.J. Transportation Authority on the Atlantic City Expressway. He was a member of St. Paul’s U.M. Church, Paulsboro; Past Master in 1975 and 1984 of Clarksboro Masonic Lodge #87, F. & A.M.; member of Collingswood Consistory; Crescent Temple Shrine, Trenton and Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Forest #1, Glassboro. Mr. Montgomery enjoyed collecting coins and fishing in his free time. He is survived by his sister, Catherine and James Thornton of Dover, Florida; and his sister in law, Paulette Montgomery of Mt. Royal; several nieces; a nephew; several cousins and many close friends. Mr. Montgomery was predeceased by his parents, Catherine and Arthur Montgomery Jr. and his brother, Arthur Montgomery III. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday March 16, 2017 in St. Paul’s U.M. Church, Broad St., Paulsboro. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Thursday morning after 9:30 AM until service time. Clarksboro Lodge will conduct Masonic services at 10 AM. Entombment Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro.
