Miss Ruth Yolanda Nikitaidis Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ruth Yolanda Nikitaidis age 95 years, formerly a long time resident of Hunter Hills in Flemington, NJ died Sunday July 9, 2017 in Woodbury Mews Assisted Living, Woodbury, NJ. She retired in 1980 after serving as school program coordinator in the Hunterdon County Superintendent’s office. She joined the county school department in 1953 as a special helping teacher to help schools throughout Hunterdon County develop music programs. Miss Nikitaidis also served as a church organist and choir director. She was a graduate of Rowan University (formerly Glassboro State College) and earned a master’s degree in education at Rutgers University. Her community activities included the trustee board of the Jennie Haver Scholarship Fund, executive board of the Community Services Council and Hunterdon County PTA, where she was a life member as well as music chairperson. She was also a past president of Delta Kappa Gamma. She is survived by her brother Peter and Marie Nikitaidis of Newport, Connecticut; her cousin, William Long of Woodbury and several cousins. A Graveside Service will be held at 10 AM Thursday July 13, 2017 in Eglington Cemetery, Kings Hwy., Clarksboro. Arrangements by McBride – Foley Funeral Home, Paulsboro, NJ.
