Mr. Thomas C. Ridinger

Thomas C. Ridinger age 70 years of Paulsboro died Monday August 14, 2023 in Inspira Hospital, Mullica Hill. He was born in Woodbury and was a life long Paulsboro resident. Mr. Ridinger was a 1971 graduate of Paulsboro High School and after graduation he went to basic training for the U.S. Air Force at Lackland A.F.B. in Texas. He then served as a military policeman on Shemya Island in the Aleutian Islands during the Vietnam Conflict. After his discharge from the service, he worked as a patrolman in Paulsboro and later Swedesboro. He then worked as a truck driver for Matheson Gas Products, later retiring from Southwark Metal Manufacturing Company in Philadelphia. Mr. Ridinger was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish, St. Michael’s Church, Gibbstown; the Knights of Columbus, Queen of Heaven Council #4154, Gibbstown and Carmel S. Morina Lodge #2580 of the Order of the Sons of Italy, Paulsboro. Mr. Ridinger loved his hometown of Paulsboro and served as Past President and member of the Paulsboro School Board for eighteen years and also on the Paulsboro Land Use Board. He enjoyed eating out at the Paulsboro Diner and Country House Restaurant and socializing with friends he saw there or at the Gibbstown Swim Club. Mr. Ridinger avidly followed local and national politics and was the life of the party wherever he went. He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Maryann Ridinger (nee Dentino); his sons, Matthew R. Kuser and David E. and Rachel Kuser, all of Paulsboro; his grandchildren, Brody, Charlotte, Mason, Bryce and Braxdyn; his sister, M. Jeannette DiNardo of Marmora; his brother in law, Richard Dentino; his sister in law, Kathleen and Bob Brown; his nephew, Matthew G. DiNardo; his niece, Melissa E. DiNardo and her husband, John Gebhardt and a large loving extended family. Mr. Ridinger was predeceased by his parents, Charles “Chick” and Martha Ridinger; his sister, Cheryl Ridinger and his brother in law, Gerald Dinardo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Thursday August 24, 2023 in St. Clare of Assisi Parish, St. Michael’s Church, 313 Memorial Ave., Gibbstown. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 PM in the church and Thursday morning in the church after 9:30 until Mass time. Interment Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro.
