Warren Simmler Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Warren H. Simmler age 91 years of Mickleton died Friday September 7, 2012 surrounded by his family. Mr. Simmler was born and raised in Clarksboro and was a 1939 graduate of Swedesboro High School where he played on the championship basketball team. He was a veteran serving in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II and achieved the rank of Sergeant while stationed in England. Mr. Simmler retired as Maintenance Supervisor with Mobil Oil Co. in 1981. He was a 79 year member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church, Clarksboro and served on both the East Greenwich and Kingsway Boards of Education. Mr. Simmler enjoyed gardening, traveling and hunting and was a lifetime member of the Woodbury Antlers Hunting Club. Most of all, Warren loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Janice Simmler (nee Lindle) of Pitman; his children, David and Chic Simmler of Clarksboro, Dan and Lee Anne Simmler of South Harrison; his grandchildren, Dave, Amy, Kristen and Sarah and his great grandchildren, Zane and Marie. Mr. Simmler was predeceased by 3 sisters and a brother. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 AM Tuesday September 11, 2012 in the McBride – Foley Funeral Home, 228 W. Broad St., Paulsboro. Relatives and friends may visit with the family after 10:30 AM Tuesday until service time. Interment Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro.
