Mrs. Anna H. Possenti

Anna H. Possenti passed peacefully December 11th at the age of 95! She was preceded in death by her daughter Georgia Alexander and son in law Lawrence Alexander, her husbands Arthur “Brud” Richman, Harry Wachtel and Louis Possenti. She is survived by her loving family including her daughter, Suzanne Richman and son in law Don Buccella; her grandchildren, Lawrence “Pep” Alexander and his wife Laura Alexander, Katrina Buccella, Nick Buccella and his wife Juli Buccella; her great grand children, Mackenzie Alexander and Lawrence “Trey” Alexander and by her boyfriend, Eddie Ratti. Anna was born in Swedesboro, New Jersey to Mary and George Hellyer as their third of five children. She graduated from Swedesboro High then worked as a secretary at Socony Mobil before becoming a full time homemaker. She was married 25 years to Brud Richmond and traveled the country for several years with their girls. She moved home to New Jersey when she was widowed and eventually married Lou Possenti. Anna and Lou spent 25 happy years in Ft. Lauderdale together. She then spent the rest of her years in Fredericksburg Virginia. Anna was a woman of many talents. She could bake a delicious apple pie in the kitchen that she had just re-wired. She sewed clothes for her girls, painted beautiful landscapes and portraits while creating a loving home for her family. She had a curious mind and was a lifelong learner. If she didn’t know how to do something she would teach herself. Whether having tea parties with her grandchildren, laying carpet, remodeling a room or winning at penny slots, Anna enjoyed her life. She was always optimistic and chose to be happy while trusting in God every day. She made friends easily and kept them for life. Anna taught us to love freely, forgive easily, to make the most of every situation and to never give up. We loved her dearly and will miss her very much. Anna loved flowers and requested that she have “lots of pretty flowers” at her funeral. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday December 17, 2022 in the McBride – Foley Funeral Home, 228 W. Broad St., Paulsboro.
