Mr. Everett N. Inman Jr.

Everett “Ed” N. Inman, Jr. age 81 years of West Deptford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at Cooper University Hospital, Camden. Ed was born in Woodbury, New Jersey to Everett and Althea Inman and was raised in Gibbstown. He was a 1960 graduate of Paulsboro High School and attended Lindsey Wilson College. In his youth, Ed was a featured dancer on WFIL-TV’s American Bandstand. He later worked for DuPont, where he met the love of his life, Joan (nee Murphy). They married in 1967. Ed is survived by his wife, son Mark (Kathleen), daughter Stacy, and daughter Barbara Dobzanski (Deron). “Pops” is also survived by his grandchildren Dylan and Jordan Dobzanski, Morgan and Ryleigh Wright, and Brett Inman. He was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws, James and Irene Murphy. During his career, Ed was the general manager of the 76 truck stop in Paulsboro, New Jersey, the P&M 76 Plaza in Harrisburg, PA, and the TA Travel Center in Candler, NC. In retirement, he was the host at Axelsson’s Blue Claw Restaurant in Cape May, NJ. Ed and Joan’s busy family life included raising Great Dane show dogs, bowling, and trips to Ireland and Bermuda. He was a member of the St. James High School Father’s Club. Ed was a devoted father and grandfather who remembered every special occasion and sporting event. He had a special affection for his granddog Fern and loved to visit her at his daughter’s house. Ed was a talented chef who enjoyed cooking and entertaining family and friends. He was also a gifted nature photographer and during his time in Asheville developed a small line of greeting cards using his original photos. He loved the seashore and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Ed was especially known for his compassionate listening and sage advice, and many people benefitted from his words of wisdom. Ed was a friend to all, and his infectious laugh and smile will be remembered for years to come. The viewing and funeral service will be held at the McBride – Foley Funeral Home, 228 W. Broad St., Paulsboro on Saturday, November 18, 2023. Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 9:30 – 11:00 AM. The funeral service will begin at 11:00.
