Mrs. JoAnn A. Bisti

JoAnn Bisti, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 in Winter Garden, Florida from complications of dementia. She was 71. JoAnn was born on December 25, 1949 in Woodbury, New Jersey to the late Joseph and Josephine Monte of Paulsboro, New Jersey. On May 14, 1977, she married Joseph C. Bisti of Gloucester Township, New Jersey. JoAnn dedicated her life to children, first as a teacher and then as a mother. After graduating from Glassboro State College in June of 1971, she spent seven years teaching third grade in East Greenwich, New Jersey before stepping away to raise her three children. Fourteen years later, in 1992, she returned to teaching in West Deptford, New Jersey and remained there until she retired in 2011. In 2018, she escaped the cold weather and relocated to Winter Garden, Florida with her husband Joseph. JoAnn’s greatest joy was spending time with her family. She loved to entertain and was quick to brew a pot of coffee or order a pizza when people stopped by to visit. Her annual New Year’s Eve family parties were exuberant and legendary. JoAnn is survived by her husband Joseph; her son and daughter-in-law Joseph and Lisa Bisti of Medford, New Jersey; her son and daughter-in-law James and Jennifer Bisti of Gibsonia, Pennsylvania; her daughter and son-in-law Julianne and Matthew Blackard of Winter Garden, Florida; and her sister and brother-in-law Virginia and Francis Vellutato of Clarksboro, New Jersey. She is also survived by her six grandchildren: Jessica and Abigail Bisti, Chase and Addison Bisti, and Ashlyn and Lauren Blackard. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Monday March 8, 2021 in Church of the Incarnation, 240 Main St., Mantua. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the McBride – Foley Funeral Home, 228 W. Broad St., Paulsboro. Interment New St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Swedesboro.
